Given the whole POTN book situation (see here), I would like to propose that POTN start a Wedding Photography Photo Sharing section. This poll here is just to simply get everyone's thoughts, and gauge how much support and interest we have in trying to get such a forum started. So.... what do you guys think?? :D

I don't see the need. This forum may be termed a "Sharing Knowhow" section, but it's also a photo sharing section. Or at least it is in my eyes.

And I don't really care about the book anymore.

I've always come here to look at photo's :) Plus it gives people a great chance to discuss techniques, and styles, in one format :)

We're doing photo sharing here anyway. No need for a second forum for the same thing.

I'm no longer interested in having anything to do with books, either.

Anyone interested now that image sharing is being moved to the "people" section?

Yes, I see all of the images have been moved to the "people" section. I think it's good to talk about the business of wedding photography, the logistics and so forth, but I like seeing pictures, C&C, examples, and so forth here as well. I almost never went into the "People" section of the forum and I don't see myself doing it now to dig through and find wedding photos.

I think Wedding and Engagement photos should be kept in the Wedding Forum, not in people forum scattered to the ends and back.

I think all wedding related images should be kept in this forum. I'm not going to check other forums, that's just a pain in the butt for no good reason. We're pretty self contained here.

I agree. It's my preference to keep everything as it was - in this one forum. But if it's either the people section (which is where everything is being moved) or make a wedding sharing section, I'd opt for the wedding sharing section as I don't see myself searching through the people section.

I was going to vote, #3 specifically. But does it mean here at POTN or here the Wedding Forum?
If #3 means here in the Wedding Forum, thats the way I will vote.

I third this sentiment.

Rather than create another sub-forum, why don't we just follow Dan's suggestion (on another thread)?

Post start with [Sharing] on the title shouldn't be criticized, just nice comment
Post with [comment] could be criticized (harshly or nicely)
