I called my local Ritz-oh-worthless, it went something like this.

them-"Thank you for calling Ritz camera your digital headquarters. Matt speaking how may i help you"

Me-"Yeah i was just wondering if you were taking pre-orders on the new camera Canon anounced yesterday?"

Them-"Pre-orders, yeah uhh, no i dont know about it. What is it again?"

Me-"It's the replacement to the 10D, they're calling it the 20D."

Them-"20D huh...wow, yeah i dont know anything about it."

Me-"Oh...ok...thanks....*click*"

I'm gonna call a wolf camera that isnt too far from here, i doubt i'll have much more luck

Yeah, they didnt know anything about it either but they called their warehouse. It's in their computers at least.
I personally would rather have the $1500 for the next two months (that and i dont have all of it yet).

I'm still hoping that best buy does a 0% 12 month intrest plan like they did with the 300D. That was the easiest $1000 i ever had to spend.

I'd call them but...that would be like calling the fire department to come start a fire in my house for me.

Well, I certianlt wouldn't "expect" this Matt fellow to be on the up-n-up when it comes to recent news and press releases of upcoming products.

I mean, come on.....they hardly know anything about the items that they DO have in-stock

No kidding. I sometimes forget these people work there because they were hiring.

Against my better judgement i wasted my time calling best buy too.

I guess i should just obtain some patients...somehow.

I must have the best Ritz in the country right here in RI :)

The one in the mall is just like all the others.. but thursday I was in the Big Ritz in Warwick and had a great chat with the guy in the SLR - Digital dept..

He too had been to Newfoundland recently.. trekked about 6 miles through a bog to get a pic of the fjords there...

He new the 20D was "en route" but I let him know friday was D-day...

We even discussed the potential "crop factor"

I still felt 1.3 made more sense.. but he was right (The Ritz GUY) as he insisted Canon would maintain 1.6X for the "consumer" cameras.

I checked my suppliers website just out of curiosity (I'm not interested in the camera). He had th 20D with full tech specs and it prompted me to call his order center and spoke to a gentleman that was very knowledgeable already about this camera.

It is certainly going to vary from one supplier to the next.

My life is like one big RAW file....way too much post processing needed.
