it's supposedly not refurbished but I've seen people say that there is suppose to be a plastic cover on the LCD on my camera. When I got my camera, nothing was covering the LCD at all.

Do you think it's possibly refurbished? Why didn't it have a plastic cover on the lcd?

thanks

sorry, what do you mean? it would be hard to as it's my only camera. I just sold my 20D.

basically, there is no plastic film covering the LCD like you get when you purchase a new item.

Here is how it's supposed to be. Mine is minus the plastic.

what do you mean....?

so it comes new with the plastic film covering the LCD or it doesn't?

Mine doesn't so I am worried.

I don't understand what you mean when you say "no cover can on it just the glass"

what is a cover can? what is glass? are you referring to the LCD?

I don't recall any plastic being on mine either. But that's been awhile and my memory for trivialities is rather limited.

Did you lose Digital Photo Professional (DPP)? Get it here (external link). Cursing at your worse-than-a-map reflector? Check out this vid! (external link)

there is nothing covering the LCD of a new 30D (or any new canon for that matter i believe) but glass. your camera is fine.

I just got my 30D from Roberts, completely new in the box, with warranty. None of my cameras ever had a LCD cover. So dont worry. It is brand new and not refurbished.

I never had any covers on any of the Canon Dslr's before, which were all brand new as well.

If you mean the clear plastic film that protects most displays (like cellphones') during in factory handling & shipment and is supposed to be peeled off when the item is put into use, then my 30D I bought new (Europe) didn't come with one.
