This is Katie and Jon. Katie is the youngest daughter of my cousin Janice in Birmingham, AL. Last Saturday I went to Birmingham to photograph their Engagement Session. I was actually visiting family in Atlanta and drove to Birmingham to spend the day. We did the shoot at the Alridge Gardens Park. They are a beautiful couple and were most fun to work with. I will photograph their wedding in Destin, FL (on the beach) next October 2008. As always constructive C& C is greatly appreciated...thanks,

That looks like it was fun :) Their skin tones look a little off to me, though (maybe it's just my monitor).

Hello Jim,
really nicely captured moments.
To me at least 1st and 3rd picture are kind of pinkish specially on the faces so I would play just little bit with Tint and on the 1st picture I would raise Color Temperature as it's little bit too cold (just my impression).
Otherwise really very nice shots. Good job.

Real nice, sharp and punchy shots, Jim. I'm sure the lovely couple will much appreciate your fine work.

The last one is my favorite.

Jim, they do look slightly pink to me. Take the temperature down a little and take the red down as well. See what you come up with. My monitors are all calibrated as well. Did you calibrate your monitor in complete darkness?

And you are really doing great. I'm jealous you are shooting so much. I have no plans for a while, due to my terrible schedule, but the wedding gathering last weekend was so wonderful. It was a blur. Can't believe it was a week ago.

Great captures Jim. They look like a lot of fun. Contrary to what others have said, I actually like the skin tones in #1. Is #2 and #3 OOF or is it just compression? It's hard to tell for me. #4 looks a little overflashed, but, still a nice capture nontheless.

hey Jim. They look like fun shots, and they look like a very sweet couple. I also think it looks pink... but upon close inspection, it almost looks like those faded 60's shots, and I like it. Put in a bit of desaturation and it'll complete that look imo! That's really cool. I'm gonna go try that now... thanks for the inspiration... :D

My thanks for the great feedback...I continue to work on my PP skills and those pesky skin tones. The two that looked OOF are actually tack sharp in full size...I used the MS Power Toy...Image Resizer to get these down to POTN posting size.

The kids and Katie's Mom were delighted with the photos and Mom is making an Engagement Scrapbook with their favorites...Mom (my cousin Janice) is an expert scrapbookkeer and has documented her family life for years in scrapbooks. I suspect the wedding will be the same way...just give me good photos and I'll do the rest :)

Again, my thanks to all for your kind comments, input, and help :D
