I was in Atlanta last weekend and I went with my brother to see firsthand the effects of the drought in Nothern Georgia. These two photos were made at Sweetwater Creek State Park. The Sweetwater reservoir is the fresh water source for East Point, GA...a suberb of Atlanta.

I was struck by the irony of the "No Swiming" sign against the sad backdrop of the nearly dry reservoir. I submitted this photo to Atlanta's WSB-TV and they emailed me to say that the "loved the photo and would post it on their live broadcast and their web site." Thus my 1 minute of fame. BTW...the guy in the photo is my brother :)
