Nov 10, 2007 16:07 | #4 I keep all of my photos, except the ones of no use ever... I keep them in appropriate folders, and after a while, I back them up to my external hard drive for safe keeping, just in case...I'm a pack rat.

And every month, I back up to 2 different external drives. One is kept in our safe with other valuable items. I upload alot to photobucket for sharing, and figure if i ever loose everything, i will still have photobucket. Canon 7D...28-135mm IS...70-300mm...and a desire for a lot more...with a wallet that does not fit that desire...

I back the images up to CD, but not as often as I should. HTH.

Then they get backed up to CD and DVD. I also make copies on CD for the copyright office when I register work. I shoot with a Little Canon

Do you download them on your PC? Yes, and then on my web sites if and when I get around to sorting through them. ps249 wrote in post #4290769 How many do you print? None. ps249 wrote in post #4290769 Save them to CD? Delete most of them? I don't really delete any of them, unless it's something stupid like an all black frame from where the spotlight moved just before I took the photo. They're all saved to hard drive and imported into Lightroom, and backup copies of the RAW files are saved to an external hard drive. I'll periodically take the external hard drive to work with me and upload photos to a web hosting account (which I already had for something else, and happened to have a lot of free disk space). Then copy them to an external hard drive for a backup. Then I clean the origionals up and throw most of them on my website jpegcity.com. Lately I've been a little more selective as to what I put up on my site sense I think I'm getting a little better. Eventually I'll probably clean up the site and just put the really good shots up there. I usually only print them if I'm going to give them to someone. Then they all get downloaded to my PC. At that time I do a culling and dump maybe %25 of them. Before doing any processing I backup all the raw files to the backup PC and write out a backup CD as a secondary backup. Not sure why, but call me JJ.

I delete ones that are obvious OOF, and other bad shots, but only 10% (if that) are worth showing or printing. I'm a packrat, can't help it. Sony A6000, 16-50PZ, 55-210, 35mm 1.8 OSS
