It's kind of al pain to look at the corner of the frame some times. I know that there must be some sort of upgrade or accessory I can get, but I don't know what it's called, so I can't search for it. Can anyone help.

I'm not sure what you are asking? The corner of the frame? Are you saying you don't like using a viewfinder and want to use the LCD on a DSLR?

i think he's trying to say that he will frame a shot with it, and when he looks at the picture after, its not what he framed cause the view finder isn't 100% of the "real" frame.

Well if I'm handholding everything is fine. If my camera is mounted on a tripod, especially if the camera is low to the ground, its diffacult and uncomfortable to get my face pressed up tight against the viewfinder so that i can see everything.

Basically I want a larger viewfinder and possibly one that will allow me to view it from different angles.

The other day I had a situation where the camera was about six inches off the ground and pointed slightly up from the horizontal. I had to contort myself while looking out of the corner of my eye in order to just get a glimpse of what was in the viewfinder.

Is this starting to make sense yet?

i believe you're looking for an anglefinder. Canon makes one, and i believe hoodman does as well.

there's also the zigviewer...but that's quite a bit pricier.

The angle viewfinder is what you need, but this is where live view comes in handy. It would be nice if Canons next upgrade (5DMkII) not only has live view, but also incorporates a swivel LCD as well.

Not sure why, but call me JJ.

haha out of all the predictions ive heard on a possible 5d replacement, a swivel LCD is just about the most outlandish of them all. what on earth would you want a swivel LCD for?
