Outdoor car show

The other day PhotosGuy pointed me to his photo tips about shooting at an outdoor car show. I followed a few tips and paid more attention to lighting today.

Fortunately it was overcast today with very few breaks in the clouds so the reflections were flat when I could get most of the trees out of the way. Pleasanton has a ton of trees!

Out of a few hundred photos these are the two best reflections I could get. I'll have to practice on my car in more open areas.

They look pretty good, but a touch dark, especially the last (illegal) attachment?
IMAGE POSTING RULES only allow 8 embedded pics by the OP per thread. You can always just post a link to them, though.

I suggest that you get off P mode & try this: Start with aiming for a properly exposed flat-white & refine from there. It can be anything in the pic that you can zoom in on as
much as possible. The sky, water, reflection, might all throw the histogram off, so I use this to be sure that the bright areas "at the right" are the bright areas I want to keep.
First set the f-stop & shutter speed you need. Then adjust the ISO.

Yeah I was cheating yesterday with the P on my dial. I was being lazy. I need to spend more time tweaking the settings and get more used to the them.
