I went for a walk along the River Torrens in here Adelaide and, as I was standing there chatting to a new photographer who had approached me about my lens, this wonderful bird came flying towards me. Well, I couldn't very well say 'come back later' to it so I turned around and fired off a sequence.

Taken with my 30D with 70-200mm f4 attached. Processed in PSE5 and resized for the web.

These were taken as it was just about over me.

i think i like the first one the best. he/she looks so free. and i like the composition of it as well.

Oh fantastic, they are huge. We dont have pelicans here either and I love these birds. I like the light coming through the wing tips, great capture
