For $8K it should have a pop-up flash, don't ya think?

:D

Just kidding!

I played with one at the San Diego Photo Expo on Saturday.... I have not slept since.

I MUST HAVE ONE! Not sure yet how I will pull it off, probably sell off some of the watch collection and maybe a few other toys to fund it.

One thing is for sure, I won't be a pioneer on a body that costs that much. I'll wait six or eight months after it's out to make sure Canon isn't going to be recalling them.

I'll never be the same, that camera is simply amazing. It took all the grit I had in me not to run out of the Expo with it! he-he!!

Best,

Michael

Far too over-the-top for someone like me - I'm not a professional and I'm not rich. I'm thinking about the replacement for the 5D though.

It looks like these photos are from B&H. The link to the first photo is:

and the second photo seems to be from here:

.

Oh, can we do that?

Also, the gaussian lines suggest that B&H scanned the photos from some kind of printed material, possibly a brochure, and sharpened them for the web. And to answer your question, no you're not supposed to do that, legally speaking.

And on the subject of the 1Ds MkIII: Nope, I can't afford it. Besides, if I wanted 2x megapixels I'd go a medium format. But I can't afford that, either.

With a body like that, I'm surprised that they didn't show it with at least the 50 f/1.2 L lens.

Legally? I'm not an attorney, but I would think not. Maybe it woudl be okay if you give credit to where the photos are?
