I placed an order online with B&H and forgot to use the B&H Coupon Code to submit the discounted item...

I sent an e-mail to B&h - do you think they'll ship as ordered (Tamron 17-50 f2.8 XR Di II) but honour the lower price as I've requested?

Just curious if anyone has ever run into this before...

Paul

happened to me before, I called them, make sure you have the coupon code, and the price before and after the rebate, they will credit you the difference, usually takes about 4-5 days.

Also Canoga Camera refunded me the difference almost 2 weeks after I bought some lenses thru them and Canon had announced rebates :)

I'd certainly begin with a phone call. There's nothing anyone here can guarantee you regardless of past experiences. Even so, once it ships, you're out the shipping charges if rectifying requires sending the first purchase back; and outcomes can be as varied as the representatives who answer the phone.

In a worst case, if your order hasn't yet shipped, you can always simply cancel and re-order your item. And, unless it would unduly delay your order beyond your acceptable timeline, it's about the only way to ensure you get what you want while you control your own destiny.

I had sent a quick online e-mail to B&H just shortly before the item was destined to ship. They shipped the order as placed but have now confirmed that they will credit back the difference! It was only $30 USD, nothing to cry over, but worth asking for anyways.

I'm very happy with the service SO FAR from B&H.
