I used to open my door in flight with students before their first solo just to show them it isn't something to worry about or get distracted by. I would rather they see it first in a controlled, calm setting than on their first solo. :eek:

If I remember correctly, when one popped on me in a Mooney, it wasn't so easy to get latched again in flight.

BAW3577 overflying Ottawa in lovely winter skies. She was rather loud even at 33,000 feet but a sleek modern sound. Can't wait to see one up close someday!
