Good heavens. Was this an official gathering/airshow? I am jealous.

Good heavens. Was this an official gathering/airshow? I am jealous.

It's essentially a workshop that brings together the nine civilian Heritage Flight pilots with what used to be their Air Combat Command Demo Team counterparts.

Now that the ACC has grounded the F-16, A-10 and F-15E teams, I'm honestly not sure how all of this will work over the course of the summer. I guess wherever an airshow wants a Heritage Flight, the ACC will try and provide a tactical jet to accompany a warbird? Maybe?

The ACC planes present at DMAFB were the former demo team jets from Viper East and West and A-10 West but AFAIK, they're not being flown by the same pilots as last year. At least the A-10 isn't because Joe "Rifle" Shetterly is working up a civilian aerobatic act in a Vans RV-10! :D

That's sad news to hear. Didn't know ACC had grounded the teams.

What a great opportunity for you and you've captured them exceptionally well (as usual and expected ). I hope I'll still get to see some heritage flights in the few airshows I plan to attend this year.

It's been modified for Maritime Surveillance. You can find a little more information on my Blog after you watch the video of this A340-300 from the Luftwaffe doing a touch-n-go.
