She's not flying anymore. Spent her life as an instructional airframe. There are even Starfighters with less hours (18 or 19...). This Starfighter does not have an engine in it. It is located at Niederrhein/Weeze, Germany. Its is in a shelter in the old QRA area. That is why the watchtowers are there. I was there to cut another Starfighter in two because a friend of mine bought the cockpit section...

Sywell is near to me now, in fact the Blades Aerobatic team shown in the crossover picture above, are based at Sywell, and they often practice at around 11:45hrs on Wednesdays :cool:

Duxford not far away, so I am looking forward to those.

Thanks Rich, now I have moved away from the SE, we do not have an active POTN Midlands thread!!!! I'm still taking plenty and selling well on the agencies. I've joined a local camera club and am busy trying to beat their best in comps :lol:

I have managed to get some wildlife shots in a National exhibition and some in the regionals. So I am proud of that - but not as proud as getting 3 into the POTN book - BTW, anyone know when it is being published?

Nope - this was as it happened. The 500mm did compress the perspective, having said that, they were pretty close :cool:

No worries.... I am please you like it.

It was one of those shots that happen occasionally. The moment you hit the shutter - you say "Yesssss". Then quickly check the LCD and hope you actually got it.

Scuff has got a great "head on" angle of what I think may have been this manouver I took at FIA2008 ~ max end of the 100-400 and a different angle and this is a crop? Even with this more acute angle you can see their closeness and required timing must be impecable :cool:
