The Battle of Cedar Creek (external link)was re-enacted at Kearney Park, Fresno. Had a great time with all the characters. Here are a few of them.

I love these photos. Ole Abe looks like he just stepped out of his time into ours. The colors and contrast in your photos are outstanding. Thanks for sharing.

Nice shots, Skip. People in costume are among my favorite photographic subjects.

Sorry to nitpick, but "cavalry" and "calvary" are very different words. :)
