Harlan Ellison is a writer, but his rant could easily be applicable to the photography industry. We're often the ones who are expected to work for free for the 'publicity'.

Just watched the video hadn't seen it before now ( it was hidden by a slew of resurrected posts). LMAO, especially the part about when he requests a copy of the DVD and is told he can buy it...after they used his material for free of course. By the by, how much caffeine do you think that guy drinks a day? :)
