Here's what I want to do:
Compile high-resolution (2272x1704) jpegs into a slideshow program that I can add a soundtrack to and burn to a CD to play on other computers. I'd even like to be able to add my mpegs to the slide show, if possible.
I've tried the new iMac's iMovie and it was a horror to mess with. I'm a Window's person.
I'd like to know any software out there that anyone has had good luck with in this regard. Thank you!
Since you want to add mpgs, etc., you don't want PicturesToExe at present - maybe in next version.
Presently, ProShow Gold (PhotoDex) and edia@Show (INVALID EMAIL) (Cyberlink) allow that and each burn to DVD. ProShow Gold also has Ken Burns Effects (scroll, pan, zoom) but edia@Show (INVALID EMAIL) doesn't. Each will also let you add voice-over and/or background music.
I would strongly suggest that you convert your mpg's to avi format especially if they are quite large (they tend to be quite large). AVI's load much quicker and take up less room on your CD as well.
Both these programs as well as PicturesToExe also output to an executable format for Windows based machines.
