I swear, APS-H is the red-headed stepchild when it comes to ultrawide lenses. At least there's the Tokina Fisheye zoom.

So am I right in thinking both of these lenses are really designed for 1.6 crop bodies?

Are you talking about the tokina 10-17mm fish eye, though it states it is recommended for a APS-C not H, 1-6x and 1-5x crop
Have you tried this lens on a 1.3 crop? or anyone for that matter

I think, reincarnation of 12-mm fisheye lens for FF would be better

Who's gonna try it with some stacked extension rings? That would make some fun macro

I would imagine that even a 12mm extension tube on one of these will put the focus point inside the lens, making it useless. I know when I put an extension tube on my Tokina 12-24, I can only use it at 24mm, and that puts the focus point within 1cm of the front element. If I zoom out at all, the focus point retreats inside the lens.

So where is your shot of the inside of your lens?

Ummm... you don't get a sharp image of the inside...you're focused on a section of air or clear glass (depending on where the focal point sits) inside the lens, which has no color or clarity. The result is that you can't focus on anything.

Sigma has announced 4.5mm F2.8 EX DC HSM and 10mm F2.8 EX DC HSM "fisheye" lenses. These are designed for APS-C bodies.

Not a whole lot of info, but here is DPR on the 4.5mm http://www.dpreview.com …1/07111402sigma45fish.asp (external link)

QUOTED IMAGE

And just added the 10mm from DPR http://www.dpreview.com …1/07111401sigma10fish.asp (external link)

QUOTED IMAGE

http://www.sigma-photo.co.jp/english (external link) also has some information.

The 4.5mm should be especially fun. Somebody buy them and test them out for us [whenever they are released] :)

WHOAH.

Hi

Could be interesting. Be cheaper than buying a 5D for my 8mm Fisheye to get a decent circular image.

Maybe useful for checking for dust though ;) .

All the best
