Removing "+JPG" from Lightroom Thumbnails

Hello,

I've been shooting RAW+JPG on my 30D and importing them both into Lightroom. There seems no point in using JPG with Lightroom, so to save space I want to shoot in just RAW.

To save even more space, I want to remove/delete the JPG's that I shot alongside my RAW pictures which are now stored on my hard drive. The problem is that if I delete the JPG, the thumbnail still has +JPG in the extension. (Example: 20071113_001.CR2+JPG)

What do I need to do to update the filename in the extension so it doesn’t show the associated "+JPG" which does not exist anymore?

I've searched the forum but can't seem to find the answer to this problem.
