Some more from the long weekend in Barcelona. It wasn't just the outside of buildings that produced spectacular designs. His interiors were as well thought out and implemented.

1. Casa Batllo ceiling

My favorite is number 5. The soft light that falls on the texturized surfaces gives a warm feel to the image.

Thanks. This was from an inside room on the first floor with a skylight into an internal courtyard and this window looking out into anther room which then led out into the patio at the back of the house. I took this shot first with my wigma at 10mm ISO 400 f5.6 1/10s

IMAGE: http://lh5.google.fr/alistairksmith/RzdlMYZ8pLI/AAAAAAAADfc/ctQTaKQNp9Y/s800/IMG_9251.jpg
I thought it was good with the 2 people leaning against the window in the other room. I then got #3 at 14mm IS400 f5.6 1/80s in raw. Imported into lightroom desaturated and then played with the curves for extra contrast. The 3rd person arriving seems to fit well into the "frame" of the window.

cheers

Thanks Stephan. Took me 5 minutes waiting to get this shot as there were people coming up and down the stairs all the time. Finally realised that I could get the shot while they were just out of view on the stairs. So there is a women hidden on the stairs in #5.

cheers

Shame you missed the interior. We actually passed through the house twice. Once with the audioguide and another lap round just appreciating and seeing things we hadn't seen the first time. It cost 16 euros to get in which when we were queueing seemed expensive. When we came out it seemed good value.

So get that flight booked :)

cheers

Some very nice ones ... I love Gaudi and have been to Barca a few times to see his stuff. I took several similar shots last time but in very different light: was Christmas and getting dark. You fifth one appeals a lot only because I took that same shot but yours is better ;-)a
