A few shots taken on our half day trip from Latakunga to Quilotoa Crater Lake. we thought we would have another completely foggy day but the sun broke through and created the most incredible sky.

On the way up the Andes, we really thought our bad luck had gotten worse, I took the CPL off to make the most of the bright spots!

On the way down, driver wanted to get back and we couldn't stop as much, taken from the moving 4WD.

The crater lake itself, we made the most as a hotel was being built right behind where we stood :(

I like the first and last but there seems to be too much saturation on the yellow channel.

all three are gorgeous, maybe a crop on the first to take out the clouds would be better?

Cheers guys. If I cropped the first to remove clouds there wouldn't be much left would there? :) The lake was greener than green...

Love the crater shot! The second shot is good as well. Unfortunately I think it would probably have been great if you could have stopped because the detail would have been a lot better.

They all look amazing, beautiful place. #2 is very interesting, have to really look at it to appreciate the altitude, looks like the clouds are a blanket on the hills.

Stopping would have been nice, wasn't too happy that day but did enjoy the trip. There will be more shots as soon as I can find time :|

Cheers one and all :)

Cheers guys. The lake is about 2 hours drive from Latakunga, in Quilatoa, part of the Cotopaxi NP.

#2 is an amazing view, I've not seen many shots of this area apart from Nature programmes!

Cheers
