No regrets and enjoy it more than any other camera I have ever had,, even DSLR's, because I use it more.

I'm thinking of picking up a 400D and 50mm prime soon,, but won't be getting rid of the G9.. love it.

No regrets at all! As a matter of fact it has exceeded all my expectations. Like CJin Austin I am enjoying taking it with me, no matter where I go.

I guess I should post an update here as i started this thread.
I ended up getting the G9 "for my wife" for christmas. Future Shop here in canada had it on for $450, no shipping, and it was too good a deal to turn down.
We just returned from a Mexico vacation and got some awesome shots with it. I left the 30D at home for that trip. This was a fun in the sun trip, not a photography trip.
All and all, and to answer my original question....No regrets here.
:)

My only quandry now is, I would like to get the grip for it, but I also want the underwater housing, and they won't fit together. :(

I have only had my G9 for a few days but have been able to get about 300 shots at some meetings and such. I must say, I'm pretty impressed with it. I really got it to take on the snow machine since I don't want to take the DSLR. I was really wanting the RAW option. So, no regrets yet!!
