Why? Sure they get you out shooting subjects etc. Yes, you get to interact with fellow shooters.

For me, today was cool I revisited a sports theme for an upcoming competition. I dug around in Lighhtroom looking for some keywords and I stumbled across a shot that was an uber keeper that I didn't even know I had! My photoshop skills are a bit better these days as I try to keep it to about 4-5 layers of pissing about.

I processed this shot in a different way with some of the stuff I've learned about layers and I was really pleased with it.

Dig up old shots or folders. You have hidden gems! Revisit shoots you did and see your work differently. You can save more crappy shots you thought you had with creativity and a new eye.

very cool Jason! Good luck in the competition. Is this the print you are going to enter?

You are on an inspiring kick lately, I like it.

This is a cracking shot cosworth. Very nicely processed and I'm loving the sense of motion you've brought to the shot! Best of luck on the competition.
