Hi all! It's my first thread started here on POTN. I was just walking around town trying to figure out the camera and snapped these. Hope you like! Always open to C/C.

The salamander is cool; but I think it would be better with a tight crop to just show the bricks and eliminate the left and right distractions. The building & flag is nice too but might benefit from a levels adjustment to lighten shadow detail in the lower area and bump contrast. BTW what caused those horizontal white streaks?

Thanks for the suggestions! Now that i look at the photo with the gecko (;)), it would look a lot better without those extra distractions.

About the building...Wouldn't increasing the contrast cause an even greater loss in detail in the shadowed areas? Maybe I misunderstood your comment about that. The horizontal streaks were caused by windows' reflections from the building behind me.

Thanks again.
