I just finished working on a website design a few weeks ago for one of my clients who is putting on a photo contest.

So far they haven't done a great job of promoting it. The site has been up for about a month, there aren't very many entries, and what has been entered so far doesn't look very strong to me. They are giving away some pretty good schwag... flat panel tv w/ xbox 360 for grand prize.
The contest is really aimed at the amateur. Pro's may or may not be interested, because by entering you give them rights to use you photo. (I'm no lawyer, but that's the way the rules read to me) Rules are posted on the site.
Just thought I'd share... Good luck to those who decide to enter. I think with a bit of creativity and a good eye chances of beating out the "snap-shotters" is pretty good.
