Work started on this church in 1882, it is still not finished and no date has yet been set. Gaudis style is visible but also other architects and sculpters.

1. has anyone seen these towers without cranes ?

Second and third are the best of the series for me. Like the perspective of the third.

My guess is that work on the Sagrada Familia will take many years to come. I visited it recently and discovered on site that there's a whole lot of work to do.

thanks Suedzu.

When you see the inside you see just how much work there is still to do. They also have the biggest tower to put up. Will be great to go back when it is finished. Hopefully in my lifetime:lol:

cheers

You've captured the detail in the stone work very well in 6,7 and 8.
From 1882 the building cost will have blown out just a little.

I really like number 3 and that was an angle I missed. Been there a few times and is probably my favourite building. I love Barcelona.

It is said that it will be over in the next 50 years . As the 3-4 street blocks you have seen must be demolished . At least thats what our tour guide said . :P

Between 2006 and 2007 the cranes seemed to be the same, maybe they dont rent/lease they buy them and make sure they use them until they need replaced?

cheers

Yeah funny that they need to restore old buildings. What time do people in Spain get up?

cheers

Thanks Condyk

had to wait 5 minutes while a couple stood in the middle of that shot looking at the view, taking their coats off, chatting. Eventually they moved away. Good things come to those that wait:)

cheers
