I'm looking for some good books on all aspects of color management. I am especially interested in finding info on working with wider color gamuts, high bit files and HDR. Does anyone have some recommendations? Thanks.

Nov 16, 2007 12:43 | #5 Thanks Fed and Mike. I did indeed see that previous thread and found quite a few useful links and quite a bit of useful information from that thread. I did indeed see that previous thread and found quite a few useful links and quite a bit of useful information from that thread. Great. Rene, I am interested in potentially working with some of the broader color gamuts (now and in the future) such as ProPhoto RGB and I was under the impression, maybe mistakenly so, that in order to achieve the true benefit of the broader color space, you really should be working with high bit files - in turn maximizing your color data. Please let me know if this is incorrect. The HDR is simply a side interest. Yes, working with a wider gamut and high bit files is better for color rendering. However, Rene was pointing out that this has nothing to do with Color Management. Color Management is the handling of color spaces and profiles in your workflow. Mike, The Keeper of the Archive
