Share Photo Query - How to ?

Hi all,
I haven't posted any pic's before and am trying to but can't figure it out. I read the posting notes msg but am still none the wiser. Can anyone provide any advice for someone new to this ?

First, you can't upload photos from your harddisk to this forum. Your photos actually need to be stored already somewhere on the internet. There are many places on the internet for this. Some are free, some you need to pay. Then, you need to know the url of the particular photo you want to share (e.g. http://www.mydomain.co​m/myfolder/myphoto.jpg).

After that, you simply use that url when posting like so:

HTTP response: 404 | MIME changed to 'text/html' | Byte size: ZERO

Thanks for the info, didn't realise I needed a website. Will do some looking and hopefully be able to get some pic's up.

You can put your photos on Yahoo, for example. MSN too. However, I'm not sure if direct linking is possible. You can put up your own website with some free server/provider and upload your photos there.

Usually, the main disadvantage is limited storage space. Also, there may be limits on photo size and dimensions.

I use PBase. It costs me $24.00 (I think) per year for 100MB in storage space. I find that reasonable enough.

Look at Bytephoto, they have a free and paid galleries.

yahoo, msn, etc do not allow hotlinking I think, Also, you cannot post pictures located on sites which require authentification. YOu must have a publicly accessible gallery hosted somewhere (where hotlinking is allowed).
