Does anyone used this 5D grip.....

I am interested in a grip for my 5D. This sounds interesting. Does anyone here have one of these?

I would expect that to last about an hour

it looks very cheap.
and i'm sure its plastic.. the 5D grip is cast just like the body.

Thanks, thats good to know. I have not see the 5D grip. I just thought that idea of a built in timer was cool. I know I could get that in the remote.

I'd stick with the BG-E4 for the 5D.

So are cameras and lenses to many people.

link delight makes cheap decent stuff, mainly remote triggers and the like which are typically worth it, however for a grip stick with canon, especially for the 5D, don't cheap out now.

I'd buy it if the display can be changed to show the current ISO value in huge blinking numbers

I wish someone mnade a 5D grip that doesn't taper on the side making the 5D camera look like a clown shoe.

Must be Canons plan, make the grip functional but ugly so people will spring for a 1D series camera LOL

no problem,

I also think changing batteries with this (cheap) grip would be more time consuming because it has a stuid tray to fumble with and put batteries into it, the BG-E4 grip has a little door where your palm would wrest to slide in the batteries. A lot quicker to replace that way.
