I don't know how you guys download and organize your image files from your flash card to your computer's harddrive..
But, I always wanted to organize my image files by the date.., so I wrote a small program that will download the image files from your flash card to your harddrive and store them by the date. (assuming you have a USB flash card reader)

You are welcome to try it out.. and please let me know if you find any problem or have a sugguestion..

Oh by the way, this program will only download the files that have a file extension of "CR2" or "JPG".
It will also recognize all the subfolders within, so just select the main folder rather than selecting an individual folders.

Thanks.

Elements 5 organizer does the same thing, putting RAW files from the card into a folder with the date(s) they were shot (there are other options as well, but that's the one I use).

Ahh okay, I never tried Element 5 or any other versions of it.

All I use is DPP and Photoshop CS2..

May be one day I will get a copy of Lightroom. :)

Nice!
Downloading the trial version as I am typing this.

I will see if I can incorporate some of its good features into mine.

Thanks for sharing the info. :)
