Dear All,
i intend to use a 50/1.8ii with extension tubes to copy some slides. i'll put aside on how to mount the slides for the time being but would like to know if the supposedly "sharp" 50/1.8ii be less than mediocre when made to work at this distance.

i'm thinking it may be entended to focus at a distance of 1"-2" from the front element of the lens. But i also consider that the lens is actually physically focusing at 2m-3m in its normal use. The optical path or behaviour was changed becos of the adding of the extension tube in between.

Thanks for the help.
