Non-Canon Batteries?

Anyone used the D60 batteries on offer at 7DayShop.com (About £18)? Are they safe to use? What about Hahnel D60 batteries (£29 at Sherwoods)?

can't speak for those specific brands...but i've been using non-canon lithium ion cells with my D-30 for the past year...no different from the $70 (us) original canon battery...

No, but I ordered my battery from 7dayshop about 5 days ago and they are still not in stock yet ....

Assuming that the 7dayshop ones are still the same make as the ones they started doing in May (also £17.99), they are fine with my D30. The manufacturer is Fameart. The only letdown is that they do not come with a terminal cover - mine reside in bank change bags when not in the camera!

I haven't seen any adverse reports about these with the D60, although I have seen comments about some US suppliers stocks (different make) being a tight fit physically in the battery housing - one supplier IIRC actually decided not to recommend them for the D60.

I'm not saying about batteries from this particular store. Anyway, I ordered some of mine from eBay sometime ago.

The problem is they are too fit in the battery slot. It is almost impossible to get it out. Fortunately, I also have a Canon MiniDV camcorder which is also capable of using these types of batteries. So, I just use them for the camcorder for now.

Anyway, I don't think all the generic brands have this problem though.
