I'm interested in either the 24-70L or 24-105L, but can't decide. Is having an f2.8 max aperture better than f4 with IS?

Too bad it's only for a crop but it beats both for IQ. With the other two, I have never had a chance to play with the 24-105 other than on 5D at Best Buy, but the 24-70 is a nice lens as well. I think that no matter which you choose, it's going to be good. Not sure why, but call me JJ.
