Will the Mark II utilize the Lexar Compact Flash 80x (12 MB/s) Write Acceleration Technology. Canon is not listed as a partner supporting Write Acceleration Technology.

Would I be better off buying a 40X Compact flash card?

I was considering buying the Lexar CF Pro Series 80x WA 2 GB.

EOS Mark II owners, please comment

Thanks

Yes. it is a bit faster,

1 GB Lexar 80X in MkII = 3.836MB/sec

1 GB Lexar 40X in MkII = 3.619MB/sec

...but you'll see the difference is "Tiny"

As for "WA".. the whole thing is bunk!

Canon OR Nikon.. the Sandisk Extreme and UltraII cards (and transcend, and Ridata, and kingston, and Microtech,., and etc etc etc ) are ALL faster in the D2H than the Lexar 40X "WA" cards.. so exactly WHAT has WA given the WA Card and Camera.. nothing but second place :)

Oh.. look here for all your CF speed info needs :)
