Yes.. I had the chance at a price I would agree with.

Monday Night one appeared @ KEH.com no less!

It was listed at $2,100.00 (bargain) but included all accesories and has KEH's 14 day return policy.

I charged it instantly.

But alas (and I was fully prepared for this) KEH does not have real time inventory tracking.. so I knew I would be one of many to place the order that night.

I phoned the next morning first thing to see where i stood... seems I was about 10 minutes too late.

Oh well.. some day maybe.

Hi CDS,

just keep looking. They are very rare but they do turn up sometimes. Took me over 3 years to find one, first one I found had been well used and paintwork was chipped badly, looked like it had been dinged a few times. Wasn't worth it for the money they were asking, took me another year to find one that was worth the money. Good luck.

CDS.
I'm glad you didn't get it. If you did, I would have to hate you, and that takes so much energy.

Keep looking. You'll find one someday, maybe at a garage sale for fifty bucks.

I'm not short. I'm concentrated awesome!

With that lens, I don't think "need" would necessarily come into the equation. I'd buy it just to look at it. :)

How about just wicked DOF shots at whatever event may call for a 200mm lens.
