Thanksgiving in the Smokies - Info Pls

Hi all,

Will be spending the next week in the Smoky Mountains. I know there are a few folks around that have been to this place or live near it.

First - any must see places and perhaps the best time of day to see them ??

Second - any general tips for taking landscapes in particular with all the haze/fog/polution ??

I would appreciate any input you all could offer.

Cades cove is nice but go at sunrise not as many people. Foothills parkway
I think thats the name of it, is another drive. Take a ride over to Cherokee, NC one day.
