Anyone know anything about these filters, Got a whole set of them. The box is very old looking maybe from the 60's but the filters themselves are brand new and heavy and look like nice. I recently purchased a 60mm macro (haven't recieved it yet, it's a 52mm thread) but had these sitting around for a couple years....never had a 52mm thread to try them out. Have a UV haze, CPOL, star, soft, yellow and magnifying set...I'm one of those that protects lenses with a decent quality (usually use Hoya pro 1's) filter and love my CPOL's...Anyways, any knowledge would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Matt

Vemar was an aggregator/distributor, like Vivitar, in the 1960's and 1970's.

They bought equipment from OEM manufacturers and put their own label on it.

Vivitar did the same, for example, their 500mm Solid Cat lens was made by Perkin-Elmer.

Vemar bought filters from one or two high quality Japanese glass makers.

It's probably single coated, so if you do anything but shoot directly into light bulbs your results will be as good as any modern brand of filter, even the expensive ones.
