Adobe Lightroom

From my understanding with Adobe Lightroom I could go to a soccer game for example and shoot off tons of jpegs then upload them to Lightroom for a large batch of color corrections.

For the most part that is correct. But if you shoot at different angles or the lighting changes with the time of day, then these will affect the results.

In LR, the term is "Import" images - just it's strange way of confusing us.

I find the batch adjustments in Lightroom works well. You get one image "correct" and then sync these changes with a batch of similar images.
