I was watching these guys feeding the other day, the heron kept trying to imitate the diving birds but couldn't hover or dive but it was funny to watch him try.

Very nice shots, but not so funny. I have seen a heron slow down over deep water and snap up a fish, then fly on. And they can float and swim, just prefer not to, so he could have gotten into the game if he wanted. :)

Did you get any diving shots of the Terns? That'd be worth another thread. ;)
