Ok I did a completly bone head thing and now my D30 doesn't work at all. Here's what happened and maybe someone out there has made the same mistake and can help. Yesterday I was playing with the Remote Capture program. At one point, instead of clicking the release icon on the computer I just picked the camera up and snapped a photo off. Well when the review image came up I decided to deleted to it. Well as I erased it I noticed that Remote Capture was trying to upload the photo at that very moment. Well neither the program or camera responded from that point on. I tried to switch the camera off to no avail and then pulled the battery out. When I put the battery back in I got a strange message on the LCD it reads OC IC 54 66
Whether the camera is switched on or off this is displayed in the LCD. If there is a power source it will display this. I then tried removing and replacing the back-up battery. Again, as soon as I put a battery or plugged it into the wall I got the same message. I have sent an e-mail to Canon Tech Support but I am wondering if anyone out there as had this happen before.
