Lloyd gave a very detailed and thoughtful critique, as well as excellent tips for how to improve the composition. I would clone out the bright blue stripes in some of the pictures, as they are very distracting to me.

Nice photos, and I wish the composition was better (the last two are much better than the 1st set, although the Groom's position wasn't the most flattering - maybe better if his body turn to his right a bit more, but head turning toward the Bride and looking into her eyes... )

As Tim sai, there's very little contact / engagement between the couple (I know Vietnamese are pretty shy about that, especially when they know someone is looking closely at them ;)) Hopefully you can improve this during their actual wedding day.

You mentioned that you always take your photos before the wedding date. I really find this hard to do. Most traditional weddings the groom doesnt see the wedding dress until the bride comes down the isle. Your also saying that the groom needs to rent the tux twice. And with most wedding pictures there's others from the wedding party in them. That means the groomsmen have to rent the tuxes twice also. Or do you supply them with pictures without the wedding party in them except for the ones inside the church.

I just got my first pair of glasses that I didn't think I needed. I apologize to anybody in the past year that I said their pictures were out of focus lol.

1.That how the vietnamese wedding done and they want that way .For American wedding ,I don't have to do that way .But I alway tell them that way if they can or like it then I'll do it for them .

2.The Groom rent the tux ,and I had to make 3 or 4 picture size 24x36 with design just like wedding album and display them at the church and at the party ...that is the reason I have to take early photo of them . So it can use for that purpose and also for the wedding album design later .

Also at the wedding party reception ,each guest come to the party I had to take 1 photo minimum ,depend on how large the party .If the party around 200 guest ...I always take 2 photo with each guest ...and when the paprty start ....I take that memory card out and give to someone take it to the store like walgreens or CVS to have 1 hour print service ,and before the guest leaving the party ...I give that photo to them right there .

It also depend on the B&G also ,if they paid extra for me in the package to make the Thank You card ...I take that card and stuck the photo inside and give it to each guest .Now is the importance key to know which guest to give them the photo ...when you take the photo ...remember take your bussiness card and write down the number like 1 ,2 ,3 ....so on and give it to the guest and tell them keep the card for later pick up their photo before the leave the party .Another thing you have to do it in orderly ...like if you take 2 photo each guest ....you have to take 2 each for every guest ...because when you print the photo out ,all you had to do is take 2 photo put in to the envelope and write down that is number 1 ...or so on 2,3,4 .This method is most common in Viet Nam and here .

It is a lot of work ,but it pay later ....because when they happy and the guest happy and they like your work ,they'll remember your name for the next wedding .

interesting to know. I have seen a few weddings on the net where the couple have the photographer do photos of the guests and give them to them as gifts. I wonder if this is where that idea came from. I love hearing these little details about different ways of doing things.

Very nice photos! And interesting to hear how some want photos months before the actual wedding. The leaves are a very nice touch.
