Help me out guys, I'm about to pull the trigger on this lens but something is telling me that it might be cheaper around Christmas time. From what I know the Canon rebate (-$80) will last until 1/13/08.

Price: $ 1,139.00
Instant Rebate: - $ 80.00
Price after Rebate: $ 1,059.00

Thats the cheapest at the moment. There was a B&H/show code that made the price $984, however it ended on Nov 14th.

vincewchan, I was checking out various camera websites and the lowest legitimate price I could find for this lens is at Profeel for $1029 after rebates. Profeel appears to be a pretty highly rated place to do business. glenphoto

Pretty sure Dell will be having a sale on their lenses... Not to say they'll be at a great price then, because they're so over-priced on their lenses now it will take a helluva sale to make me buy a lens there.. Something to consider though, never know!
