Langdale Mist

Taken just after sunrise with the mist hanging over Elterwater and the Brathay.
The Langdale Pikes are bathed in early light.

Canon EOS 1D Mark II ,Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L USM
1s f/22.0 at 40.0mm iso100

Absolutely superb shot.

The trees beyond the river just need a little more work on the curves to boot the contrast.

That is an incredible picture. Great job :D I think the seedhead helps keep the lower protion of the picture from appearing too smooth and overpoweringly barren. It also kind of helps point the eyes up towards the fog around the trees.
