timeing is everything and being at the right place at the right time helps too.

In this photo I think the B&W is more powerful.

Cool photo, nice job!

Great observation and timing - prefer the colour shot.

I think a burst was used :)

That's right Niraj.

As mentioned in the original post, I saw the girl getting ready to take the photo and proceeded to take a burst with my camera.

I think of the 5 or so, this was the one that bagged the pic.

I've tried it again a few times doing bursts, but not been able to get the same result as the speed of the burst is far quicker than my 3 fps :0(

Whatever you do, do not put this in an advertisement or brochure, as everybody and their uncle would want you to duplicate it!! LOL.

Great shot!!

OK now go do it again !!

Awesome timing and the picture turned out great !

Don't know if I'd call it 'timing'. Just fluked a shot where the 1/30,000 flash duration of the compact fitted in somewhere in the 1/125 duration of the shutter of the author's camera being open (or time periods in those vicinities).
Worked well though. :)

I tried to bounce my flash off the ceiling once. Left a mark on the ceiling and broke my flash.
