I have a beige pair of crocks Leyla got me when I was in hospital so I didn't have to step on that foul petri dish of a floor. I call them my mental patient shoes. I must admit they are comfortable.

If they felt weird...in rubber....then you didn't get the right ones:lol:. They are some sort of other type of material, not rubber. I can tell you however, do not use them on a sloped surface if they got wet....trust me.

Part of it is that I like my footwear to fit snug, with no slippage. My Birks are the only loose fitting shoes I wear, and they are mostly just for lounging.

Oh yeah, I also hate wearing slippers. Any footwear inside is too warm for me.
