Yep. I got it! Lemme go put it over by the door...

And, the wall needs an Ashley calendar on it.
(Yeah, I know... That's the June picture. So I'm a little early. Sue me!)

I like that shot of Ashley, Lonnie. I wished I could get Eli to sit still long enough to photo him. He would rather come over and lick the lens (he hasn't but he has tried).

Is that your Dad Lonnie?

Yep. That was my dad with Muffin.

Muffy's key words were "Go get daddy!" Say that to him and he would run to the door, because that's what my brother and I would say to him when our dad was arriving home from work. That was also the last thing I ever said to Muffy, just as the vet was putting him to sleep. Dad had died a few years before...

Muffin's death inspired me to write this story (external link), which I've mentioned here before.

It was always a challenge to get a good shot of Ashley, too. That's why most of my pictures of her are looking straight down at her. She always wanted to be right there by my side. It took a lot of coaxing from me to get that shot, begging her to stay where she was long enough for me to back off far enough to fire off a shot.

My name is Lonnie, but I answer to Thomas too.

It is a great shot, Lonnie. Photography = patience...you nailed it.

I think this would be my third favorite shot of her. This one also took a lot of coaxing, as I repeatedly said "Stay!" in the sternest voice I could.

No it just occurred and it is early enough the news stations still have crews . Every station in dc and surrounding area is going. They are staging media about a mile from the scene so what they will do is go live with a reporter on the scene but not really have any footage of the actual scene. You always hear this stuff around the holidays.
