It's so annoying that I can't photograph inside these places. It wouldn't be so bad if they refused any flash photography, I can deal with that. But none at all...

That's the advantage of a good compact with all sounds turned off. I've taken lots of shots that I shouldn't, and some have turned out to be keepers.

Reminds me of the time I got shouted at across a crowded room for taking a picture inside one of these places, can't remember which, but it wasn't even me, I just happened to have the camera in my hand and the bloke with the compact fired off a flash shot.

Amazing how many compact users don't seem to know where the "flash off" switch is. That's the default mode for mine.

In quite a few places, where there are old fabrics on view, that's the point. It isn't photography they want to ban but use of flash, which causes irreparable damage. And they know most people don't know how to control their flash.

Some great shots from everyone lately, impressive. I've just finished my 4 day shift (4 on 4 off)... now i have 4 days off! sweet!

Weather is awesome atm, I'm back in Brighton tomoz so I'll try escape and do some pics ..

I really should have shouldn't I? Didn't take any people shots actually.

I am amazed at the IS! You can can actually see the difference through the viewfinder!! It's my first IS lens That day in Brighton was REALLY windy, I was trying to keep myself still but was impossible in the wind... the seagulls were trying hard to fly the length of the pier and then glide back in, many gulls couldn't be bothered and just landed in the sea But between the wind blowing me around and the gulls being thrown all over the place... I am amazed that I got sharp shots!... super sharp! I had the 5D on AI Servo which I wasn't impressed with when I went to Brands a while ago (using my Siggy 70-200), but it tracked these gulls in the wind with ease!

In my experience: 5D + 70-200 2.8 IS; AI Servo tracking fast windy seagulls = ..... 5D + 70-200 EX; AI Servo tracking 50mph cars around Druids =

Am I glad I sold 3 lenses to get this..... HELL YEAH!

Well I guess I should post a shot to show one of my favourite places to take my camera. Its not exactly the most secret location, but I still enjoy it.

I even eyed a Sigma 105mm in my local store this morning.
