Can't believe I've only just found this thread.
Well I guess I should post a shot to show one of my favourite places to take my camera. Its not exactly the most secret location, but I still enjoy it.

Welcome along EllJam, and a lovely introductory image :D

Any pics of where you live?

Well Blubells it is then... From Trosley Country Park at the weekend.
Was just nice to sit on the downs staring into the distance for an hour or so:D

Lovely leading lines, Peter. Looks like a great park, will have to pay a visit very soon.

Lovely image, although the horizon is off a tad. Just scroll down now in your browser and place the horizon at the top of the browser window, you'll see.

I really should have shouldn't I? Didn't take any people shots actually.

I am amazed at the IS! You can can actually see the difference through the viewfinder!! It's my first IS lens:cool: That day in Brighton was REALLY windy, I was trying to keep myself still but was impossible in the wind... the seagulls were trying hard to fly the length of the pier and then glide back in, many gulls couldn't be bothered and just landed in the sea:lol: But between the wind blowing me around and the gulls being thrown all over the place... I am amazed that I got sharp shots!... super sharp! I had the 5D on AI Servo which I wasn't impressed with when I went to Brands a while ago (using my Siggy 70-200), but it tracked these gulls in the wind with ease!

In my experience: 5D + 70-200 2.8 IS; AI Servo tracking fast windy seagulls = :D..... 5D + 70-200 EX; AI Servo tracking 50mph cars around Druids =

Am I glad I sold 3 lenses to get this..... HELL YEAH!

You need to head into the north lanes next, thats where you find the real odd balls! Haha ..

Its weird you know, you saying about the wind, we have just moved from Brighton to Bracknell and I really noticed the wind!!

Well I think 5d is my next stop especially now I have the 70-200 is!! Lol ..

Jakedoguk - don't let 'em wind you up about the horizon - simply make some excuse about the curvature of the earth.
