And my tip of the day, do not take any photos on the platforms as the last time I did that while waiting for a train, as soon as I boarded it I was stopped by undercover officers. Fun times.

Michael.

That sucks. There's different rules everywhere.

Last time I heard a TFL person advising people photography is ok, just don't use flash whilst standing at the platform.

Ok I just couldn't help it, I went back on a hunt through my pictures and had to process a picture and since Canary Wharf was part of our conversation, I went back and processed an old file.

Nice shot Mitesh, and very cool processing. What's with the textures in the red ring? Reflection of something?

Looks good whatever it is :)

Well i am going to bring just my Olympus OM1 with a 30 Year old Sigma 80-200 Zoom

I'm going to be shooting partly in film as well. It will be the first roll of film I put through the holga and I'm hoping for lots of camera defects!

Nice pics Neil, esp the first one.

Heres one of the Wharf last time I was there -

Skipped this one earlier, very cool shot Warren :)

I've only ever seen signs saying that "Flash Photography" is forbidden in the underground. I was on a train one time at a platform when the driver gave someone hell for using a flash on the incoming train and all he said was that the use of the flash wasn't allowed.

Though they'd probably give you a hard time about a tripod as well I imagine...

I've taken loads of photos down there without any problems (usually a bit drunk on the way home, so the photos rarely turn out anyways :))

Perhaps we should all wear combat jackets for the Canary Wharf exercise Yes/No?

One thing is for sure - with the safety in numbers rule - no one is likely to get mugged for their gear.

Peter - I bet you have found a digital back for your OM1? I've got 2 OM1s and a few lenses - I haven't used them since I went digital when 2.3MPix was the absolute latest in technology.

Na.... just keep it for nostalgic reasons, reminds me of when thing were much simpler....Like me;)

I read somewhere that LU were very touchy about photography in the tube, not security reasons but becuase they charge £250 an Hour for photogs to shoot down there....I think it may have been on their web site thinking about it.
I think thats half the problem with Canary Wharf also, they quote security issues but i cant help thinking it is really becuase they feel they may be loosing out on some royalties.
