I read somewhere that LU were very touchy about photography in the tube, not security reasons but becuase they charge £250 an Hour for photogs to shoot down there....I think it may have been on their web site thinking about it.
I think thats half the problem with Canary Wharf also, they quote security issues but i cant help thinking it is really becuase they feel they may be loosing out on some royalties.

Yea, I suppose that's possible. They have quite a few pages dedicated to obtaining permits, but it seems like it's mostly to do with filming and photography was stuck in with it.

I'm suppose they draw the line between point & shoot and dslr's in the same what the the police do. Big camera = professional = need a permit?

I'd have to plead ignorance again though, as really all you see in the stations are signs about not using flash.

RIAT would be great, BUT! It's the week I've booked off on holiday, and I'd rather be in Greece or somewhere nice than at an airshow with massive crowds...
I should prepare for 2009, hit up the magazines I know and get a media pass for better access.

If I remember correctly RIAT is every two years as it alternates with the Paris Air show. Farnborough and Biggin Hill (plus others) are yearly.

Morning

The meet is planned for 8th June (this Sunday). We will be meeting up at the glorious Canary Wharf Station between 11am to 12pm at the latest.

Over the course of the day, we will be aiming to head towards Greenwich Park/Thames Barrier area and capture the sights of SE London.

You can have a look at the people confirmed coming (unless they are not on Facebook) on the Facebook group found on post #1 of this topic.

If you do wish to join us later, do give me a call on 07708751148 and just find out where the group is.

Mitesh

That is so lame. What is there to stop me jus taking photos at random. Iv'e done it so many times and never been stopped or questioned. *sigh* Another way to make a quick buck I guess.

I'm going to be shooting partly in film as well. It will be the first roll of film I put through the holga and I'm hoping for lots of camera defects!

Nice pics Neil, esp the first one.

Heres one of the Wharf last time I was there -

Hi everyone,

I'm finally back from a week in Lisbon and have a ton of shots to work through. I'll post some here soon as poss. The only one processed so far is over here as I wanted to try out a new ACR technique.

There's been about a zillion posts since last Monday so I might have missed some of the banter. :)

Is the meet still on this Sunday at Canary Wharf?
